A Cowboy Christmas {2015 Edition}

8:11 PM

This year we were able to spend Christmas in Willcox down with Brett's family!  We had a great time and it was so fun for the kids to be able to play with their cousins that they miss so much.

With 30+ grandkids, the nativity is always exciting.  Note Landon, the little baby lion on the far right, who went to show is love for the Christ Child (didn't you know there were lion cubs in attendance?).  There was also a fun cousin gift exchange, an adult white elephant gift card exchange, delicious food, and lots of visiting.
Just a couple of little Christmas elves, helping to prepare for the Christmas morning festivities.  We were also trying to console and help a fussy sick baby sleep (Vivienne), which was a bummer.  But it was fun wrapping some presents and hanging out with Brett's siblings while we watched a beyond cheesy Hallmark movie.
Christmas morning, we opened presents with lots of cousins.  Although Vivienne was still feeling pretty crummy and wasn't super thrilled with opening the gifts, like she normally would have been.  We were blessed to get some very thoughtful things from our family.  And very lucky we somehow managed to fit it all in our suitcases to take home!
So lucky that it was a relatively warm Christmas morning so that we could have our big breakfast outside!
Brett's dad and brothers-in-law made an awesome biscuits-and-gravy breakfast!  I love this cook-trailer Brett's parents have.  It's a super fun way to feed a crowd!
Some other highlights while we were in Willcox:

When I went to go find Vivienne and check on her while she was playing outside, Brett was letting her spend some time with the horses.  I don't know what it is, but that girl loves those big beautiful animals...
Later that day we actually went for some horse rides, too...
We always love swinging at Grandma's and Grandpa's...
And spending a little bit of time on the four-wheeler...
We had a very Merry Cowboy Christmas, this year!
